I Love.....other movies.

I Love you too.
Director: Daina Reid
Starring: Brendan Cowell, Peter Hellier.
Oh Dear.
See the problem is I don't want to say anything mean about a film that stars people I know in it. I guess I am safe in the fact that no one reads this! Mmmm. I like to go to Aussie movies at the cinema. Bums on seats means that Australian film funding boards have to take note. The more we see Aussie films, the more Aussie films we will make. My support is strong. But so are my opinions. And this, friends is a doozy of a film. I just wrote what I thought of it and deleted it. It's mean. I'm going to try and be positive. I liked Meagan Gale's Russian accent (she was Italian). I liked seeing Hamish Blake in it for 1 minute. I liked the dress one character wore to Jimmy's bday dinner. Yep. Oh and I like the mixture of sweets I ate in the cinema.

Im in a super bad mood.

Superbad.
Director: Greg Mottola
Starring: Jonah hill, Michael Cera, Seth Rogan,
When this movie came out I didn't see it which is strange considering Im a big Seth Rogan fan. My pal Victoria was horrified that I had missed it. I liked it. I didn't LOVE it. My favourite scenes were with....you guessed it....Seth Rogan. If I was a cop I would want to do doughnuts in my cop car and just randomly shoot stuff. I would also use my siren to race through red lights. I watched this movie a few days ago and should have written about it then. Today I am in a very strange mood. I'm sort of hungover and everything is making me a little grumpy. This film is annoying me today. But yes, Seth Rogan. What is it about him? Am I alone in my love for him? He is hot! I think it's the voice and the laugh. I LOVE him in knocked up. I am a big fan of that movie. My pal Babs and I watched it when we were shooting a film in Tasmania. We repeated a lot of the dumb lines including the word "Shmashshmorshion" which rhymes with abortion. Wont make sense if you haven't seen it. Recently I started to receive these weird msgs on facebook from Babs asking me for money. I had a feeling someone had hacked into her computer and so I jumped on instant messenger and asked "Babs' "What rhymes with abortion?" The pretend Babs promptly failed my radical test and disappeared, never to be seen again. Ha ha ha. Don't you love it when silly movie 'in jokes' help you capture facebook hackers! What was this blog about again? I'm seriously rambling today.

Seen your Husband Scarlett?

I won't be seeing this film as I'm off scary pics again. But the poster is great. I did watch the Trailer. Oooohhhhhh Buried Alive. Too awful! EEK!

Robert we need to talk.

The Director for the final instalment of the Twilight Saga has been announced: Bill Condon. The last film will be an ambitious one. I am NOT HAPPY that the director of one of the WORST films "Dreamgirls" is directing it. I am very nervous about this. Will this franchise just get worse and worse? Stupid Dreamgirls. I will never sit through another film where people Sing/argue!!! I'm watching you Bill. Look out!

BATMAN 3!!!!!
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Going to Stalk Rourke.

Ironman 2
Director: Jon Favreau
Starring: Robert Downey Jnr, Gwenyth Paltrow, Scarlett Johanson, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L Jackson.
I saw this on Friday. I landed back in Melbourne and went straight to the cinema. I have left my blog for a few days. I wanted to work out exactly how I felt about this film before I started to ramble about it. The thing is, I think I'm spoilt. I think my expectations for my favourite comic book films (and especially sequels) has become ridiculous. I liked this film. I didnt love love love it. I loved parts of it. I loved the first half, I loved Mickey Rourke. But I didnt walk out of the cinema and drive to target to buy toys. (It was 1am mind you). A sequel to an action packed comic book film is hard to perfect. It's always going to be bigger but bigger isnt always better (Transformers 2....still upset about that). The action sequences are definitely bigger and very well done. A sequel also introduces new characters. The cast is a credible bunch. Don Cheadle replaces Terrance Howard (who fell out with Favreau in the first one). Scarlett Johanson plays Natalie Rushman (The Black Widow). Both her character and Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) are there to set up the connection between this franchise and the upcoming 'Avengers' movie which will see Ironman, The Hulk, Captain America and Thor unite. (Weeeeeeeee). Scarlett doesnt say or do that much. She looks incredibly hot and kicks some bad people. I guess that's enough. And then there's Mickey. See it for him. He's not in it enough. His accent is spot on, his hatred for Tony Stark is palpable, and his invention "Whiplash" is just Radical! The makings of a good sequel are all there. I can't really pinpoint why I didn't love it. The highlight for me was definitely the car race in Monaco where 'Whiplash' is revealed. It made me want to race cars and cut stuff up with giant electrical currents! I need to stop building films up too much. There's no pleasing me it seems!
Nerd note: Stay until after the credits. You will see another clue to connect us to The Avengers. An agent for Nick Fury is sent out to the desert of Mexico to locate someone. We see a very quick glimpse of Thor's hammer. Can't wait to see Thor. And Avengers. And Ironman 3. I'm still a fan.

I feel like watching this today
